After graduating in analytical chemistry, he has spent his 40-year career in the chemical industry in a number of high profile senior management and technical roles in printed circuit and semiconductor, specialty gases and latterly lubricant sectors. He holds numerous patents and is a Member of the Royal Society of Chemistry and Chartered Chemist.
Mervin Naidu is the Business Unit Manager at Unichem Services Pty Ltd based in Durban, South Africa, heading up the lubricant base oils and additive portfolio of products. Unichem Services is a distribution company focusing on Synthetics lubricants and an ExxonMobil distributor of GRP IV and V base stocks. Mervin has been in the lubricant and fuels business for just over 30 years having started as an engineering buyer at the Castrol South Africa manufacturing facility in 1989. He moved into the Commercial lubricant sales division in the year 2000. With BP having purchased Castrol globally in 2000, he then joined the commercial fuels and lubes division of BP based in Durban, South Africa where he spent 3 years
with a career span of 26 years, Sudip has extensive experience in Setting up Business Units, Recruitment, General Management, International Trading, Business Development in the Base Oils Trading and Finished Lubricants. In his past work experience, he was a Board Director of a quoted Lubricants company in India. He also headed the Lubricants Business for CONOIL Plc, Nigeria, and prior also worked with Valvoline, TOTAL, CASTROL and GULF OIL in India. In addition to his proven track record as a top Base oil trader across his career span, he is an effective communicator who has spoken in various events and conferences by ICIS, ARGUS Media, Global Lubricants Week et al, to name a few.
Franklin Oranusih is an Industrial Chemist and Process Engineer with over 15 years experience in the Oil and Gas industry. He is currently the General Manager of Pacegate Energy and Resources Limited (PEARL), one of the foremost indigenous oil and production chemicals manufacturer and supplier. He has previously worked in Eunisell, Chicason/A-Z and Fudia Petrochem. He is a tribologist and has spoken in several local and international seminars.
Director - Product Research and Development at Innova Refining & Trading FZE with over two decades of technical experience in tribology. She has a Master of Science degree in Organic Chemistry and a Master of Technology degree in Chemical Analysis. She has previously worked as General Manager Technical Service in Gulf Oil International and was a Researcher at Shell Global Solutions.
